My goal in a photo session is to capture truth. In a person. In a relationship. In a family. Whether that truth be revealed in a belly laugh or a suppressed giggle, a pensive look or a candid, mischievous grin, a tender embrace or leaping action. . .

I am striving to capture a glimpse of something real. A photo that exclaims, “This is me! This is us. This is who we are and what we are about.” I love it all: frayed jeans or sailor dresses, high heeled pumps or scuffed-toe Converse.

Be natural. Be playful. Be genuine. Be you.

As a mother of four, I have enjoyed each of the stages of childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. And I realize just how fast children race through each of those life stages.
